Surgical infection risk prototype
A hackathon prototype using laboratory markers to explore prediction of surgical-site infection risk.
Built during the Innovation to Incision hackathon at AKU’s Annual Surgical Conference on 3 March 2024.
The team developed a neural-network model and web demonstration for exploring surgical-site infection risk from routine laboratory markers. The CV records second place and a PKR 75,000 prize.
The demonstration was a competition prototype, not a clinically validated predictor or deployed clinical service.
